EXIT THE KING

For the set design concept, I envisioned a deconstructed house, evoking a sense of ruination. The structure appears weathered and worn, reflecting the state of the old man's mind. On the ground level, the living room serves as the central space, where the accumulation of the old man's life possessions creates a chaotic pile of disarray. This cluttered heap symbolizes his mental state, a jumble of memories and emotions. Remarkably, this pile of furniture will also serve a practical purpose, being utilized creatively throughout the play.

The overall color palette of the set consists of soft nuances of grey. These muted tones convey a sense of decay, melancholy, and tranquility, adding to the ambiance of the performance.

In essence, the set design seeks to portray the physical and emotional deterioration of the old man's world. Through the symbolism of disarray and decay, the audience is invited to delve into the intricacies of his mind and share in his profound journey of recollection and reflection
